I have been providing media relations for artists and labels for eight years. I can plan and deliver album and single campaigns and promotional activity around tours.
It's not easy, but I have excellent relationships with a number of different folk and roots media professionals, including broadcasters, editors and contributors, and have gained coverage in nationals such as The Guardian, The Daily Mirror, The Sun and The Times; specialist music press like EDS, fRoots, Bearded Magazine, R2, Is This Music?, Classic Rock, Record Collector, lifestyle magazines and supplements like The Oxford Times’ Limited Edition magazine and Flux; regional papers, such as The Wandsworth Guardian, The Oxford Mail, The Newcastle Chronicle, Manchester Evening News, The Banbury Guardian, The Birmingham Mail and The Lancaster Guardian; and blogs and music websites, such as Spiral Earth, Wears The Trousers and Folk Radio UK.
I'm currently working with Ross Couper and Tom Oakes and their debut album, Fiddle & Guitar; The Shee, promoting their tenth anniversary project, Continuum; Monster Ceilidh Band and their new album Mutations; and the Doc Rowe Collection and Archive, publicising a very exciting new collaboration and exhibition.
Other labels and artists I’ve worked with in the past are Emily Portman, Haystack Music, The Folk Police, Ottersgear, Judy Dyble, Emma Sweeney and Twelfth Day.
I also have a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Professional Marketing Level 6.
