About the event

Local writer and folklore specialist Sophie Parkes, will teach you how to create distinctive places and memorable people when writing historical fiction.  Sophie’s first novel, Out of Human Sight, features The Saddleworth Bills’ O’Jack’s murders of 1832.  With strong Saddleworth links, the workshop will take place in our Point of View exhibition from the Saddleworth Group of Artists, celebrating our wealth of artistic talent in the area.  Places are limited and this is to ensure participants can read their writing, ask questions and receive feedback if they wish.
